Job summary
Our Learning Management System (LMS) is essential to our work to provide robust and high-quality training to our staff across the Primary and Social Care in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale. After a significant period of using the same LMS system, we have changed to a new LMS (Totara System) to help improve and transform the way that colleagues engage with and complete their training with us.
Main duties of the job
To provide a professional, comprehensive, and technical leadership of the Learning Management System (LMS) with Rochdale Health Alliances Primary Care Academy. (PCA)
Specific responsibility of the ongoing development and review Primary Care Academy Training Platform (PCAT) as well as providing technical management and expertise of this platform. This role will be responsible for maintaining and supporting ongoing relationships with system providers and partners.
Job Responsibilities
To act as the central point of contact and expertise for PCAT, overseeing the administration and digital development of the platform, providing a high standard of administrative support to the key stakeholders within the PCA.
To ensure systematically streamline and develop technical pathways within PCAT to ensure the continued facilitation of a user friendly and intuitive Learning Management System.
Taking ownership of key project tasks such as: - User acceptance testing - Data migration - System customisation and configuration - Development and launch of training materials - Soft launch and pilot activities - Refreshing learning content - Ensuring accessibility and inclusion
To support with the continued development of projects focused on streamlining workforce systems, learning pathways and the reporting of training data.
Support with the training of users enabling them to manage PCAT and training record queries.
Support staff access to learning systems by organising and managing access training sessions and materials to enable easy access to 'self-service', booking on to face-to-face or e-learning training.
Work with PCA manager to create an annual training calendar for the organisation so that bookable events are available at least six months in advance, and which meets the needs of the workforce and corresponds with organisational objectives.
To support planned meetings and provide updates on PCAT developments, responses and projects to key stakeholders ensuring all enquiries are effectively managed and successfully resolved within a prompt timescale, ensuring all relevant personnel are informed as necessary and an appropriate record is maintained.
Undertake general administration duties in respect of department requirements providing a high standard of administrative organisation e.g. email and diary management.
Support the delivery of the teams mandatory training and online learning development plan social media strategy including creating content, quizzes, e-learning content and help tutorials. for feeds and snippets in various social media sites
The production and provision of accessible and transparent reports from the PCAT system.
To provide first line technical support to end users of the PCAT platform.
The maintenance of existing e-Learning content and associated training materials.
To support in a project administration role, updating project plans, online management tools etc.
Support on the sourcing of external digital learning content for use in the organisation.
Assist the PCA Manager in managing a range of Internal and external projects relating to the learning platform.
To have an awareness and understanding of sensitive information, always ensuring strict confidentiality.
Prioritise own work schedule, to ensure an efficient and timely output within all areas of responsibility, to assist in achievement of quality and audit standards.
