Some student placements that are hosted by a GP Practice, or other community-based organisation, comes with a placement tariff. The hosting organisation is known as the placement provider. The tariff is a payment of money that is paid to the placement provider. It is set by NHSE to acknowledge the staff time taken to supervise and train the student. Currently, this can take over 12 months to be paid to placement providers. Become a learning environment?
