Inspirer Award < Back Amanda Clegg Inspirer Award Winner I have met an awful lot of people in the same position as Amanda throughout my previous career, up and down the country but I can confidently say I have never met someone like her before. She is truly an inspiration to me because of her ability to problem-solve, multi-task, dynamically learn, and think incredibly logically within high-pressure situations alongside her amazing wealth of knowledge. All of this while being literally one of the most caring and understanding people/ employers I have known in my lifetime. These { Personal settings :) } often come separate in people or are turned off by default and take years of character-building to understand, however, I can see in Amanda her qualities are very real or True Grit because of this she creates an atmosphere that breeds creativity, forward-thinking and freedom to innovate for me personally which I think many others will agree. They will be prescribers, or if not, can complete an independent prescribing qualification following completion of the 18-month Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) pathway. They work with and alongside the general practice team, taking responsibility for patients with chronic diseases and undertaking clinical medication reviews to proactively manage people with complex polypharmacy, especially for the elderly, people in care homes and those with multiple comorbidities. www.healthcareers.nhs.uk Pharmacist Pay and benefits If you work in the NHS, for example in a hospital or a GP practice, you’ll usually start on band 6 of the Agenda for Change pay scale. As your NHS career progresses, you could reach band 9 as a chief pharmacist.  You’ll also get at least 27 days of annual leave plus bank holidays which increases after five years of service, as well as the NHS pension scheme. If you’re working in a sector such as a community pharmacy, pay and benefits may differ but are typically in line with the NHS agenda for change pay rates. Primary Care Network Team < Back Gail Primary Care Network Team Care Co-Ordinator I have worked in the NHS Healthcare setting for over 15 years on and off, starting with the HMR CCG as a temporary administrator and then was invited to support the ‘LEO’ for the Rochdale North PCN. From there I went to GP Care Services where I was the Service Manager for the Domiciliary Phlebotomy Service for 4 years where I also trained as a Phlebotomist. Following this I started with Rochdale Health Alliance in 2019 as an administrator. Once COVID hit I was asked to co-manage the COVID call centre where we had a team of approx. 30 call handlers. When COVID eventually subsided, I was asked to be the Team Leader for the Enhanced Primary Care Hubs which I love doing. I am still heavily involved with the hubs and I am also part of the administration team for the organisation again. I thoroughly love my roles and liaising with external agencies etc as no two days are the same

Wellbeing Award < Back Lisa Mitchell Wellbeing Award Winner If i can nominate Lisa everyday, I would. Since taking over the role of our Practice Manager almost 3 years ago, she has completely turned it around. She has ensured our working environment is a nicer place to be i.e., part revamp in many areas both clinical and non clinical, employed more staff to take the pressure of in many areas, invested in staff to upskill when they have shown and interest and worked with the partners to increase pay to ensure that all staff members are fully appreciated. On top of all this, she has always been considerate and fair with all staff members, arranged wellbeing events for the staff and ensures that staff are fully supported in their working environment. Even after having a tough year herself personally, Lisa always manages to come in with a smile for everyone and still keeps a lovely approachable manner. If Carlsberg did Practice Managers..... Runner Up < Back Lisa Bowie Non-Clinical Excellence Award Runner Up Lisa goes above and beyond as practice manager. She helps and often gives her personal time to help patients in need. Sometimes offering to drive many miles to collect and deliver prescriptions and to assist in offering lifts to members of the clinical team who don't drive to deliver care to our housebound patients. She will often do welfare calls in her own time and check up on the frail and vulnerable who we are worried about collectively as a team. She will often diffuse situations which could escalate when frustrated and unwell patients call in anger and saves the clinicians and other members of the admin team from getting any stick first hand! Patients really value her time and efforts and so do us clinicians. She goes out of her way to find out what members of the team like in terms of drinks and snacks too!
