David Booker

David is RHA’s Chair. He trained as a social worker, in inner cities, working with children and families. He became a UK Director of Barnardo’s, the children’s charity, and has experience as a non -executive director within the Probation Service and an NHS Clinical Commissioning Group.

He is a passionate supporter of the NHS and its staff. He strives to ensure resources are used to provide services and not bureaucracy.

He is married, lives in the shadow of Pendle Hill and his hobbies are 6 grandchildren, growing vegetables and music – usually in that order.
