Creating New Users

As a Practice/Network Tenant Manager, you can create user accounts within the PCAT system.



To manually create a user account, follow these steps: 


  1. Go to the Quick-access menu > Users.

  2. Click Create user.

  3. Complete the compulsory fields (marked with an asterisk).

  4. Username - Please use their email address for this

  5. Choose an authentication method - Manual

  6. Generate password and notify user - Checked

  7. First name

  8. Surname

  9. Email address - Must be added, for logging in & password resets

  10. Select Expand All from the top-right-hand side of the page to view all available fields for the user profile.

  11. Goto Other Fields (Bottom), fill in:

  12. Job Role - Select the most appropriate

  13. Clinical - Tick appropriate

  14. Prescriber - Tick appropriate

  15. Staff Type - Regular or Bank

  16. Network - If the user is Network-based

  17. Practice - Choose the Practice most dominant or Blank for a Network user

  18. Manager - Name of Manager

  19. Manager's Email Address - Manager's Email

  20. Second Manager - If appropriate

  21. Second Manager's Email Address - If appropriate

  22. Select Save and View to save the new user and go to their profile, or Save and go back to save the new user and return to the list of users.
