  • Tandle Hill Country Park

7 Back Tandle Hill Country Park Between Rochdale and Oldham is 110 acres of verdant grassland and haunting mature beech woodland. When the weather is good Tandle Hill affords romantic views over the Manchester Plain, the Pennines and even across to the Welsh mountains. You can visit the countryside centre in the park, which has picnic tables out front and presents information about the park’s wildlife and the history of the area. You could pick up a leaflet on birds regularly sighted at Tandle Hill, and try to spot a lesser redpoll, twite, song thrush or bullfinch. There’s a children’s play area with a sandpit, while the cafe is open most weekends. Download the full Tandle Hill Map Previous Next

  • Lidia Cooper

Loyalty Award < Back Lidia Cooper Loyalty Award Winner Has been a practice nurse here at the surgery for over 30 years, helps with all student nurses training Lidia has worked at Littleborough Group Practice for many many years. She is now sadly retiring. She will be greatly missed by everyone. She always brings in yummy baked goods and provides plants from her garden for staff to take home. She is always looking after others. Now its time to have some time for herself and enjoy retirement! Lidia is the most amazing nurse caring and professional an excellent teacher and takes care of all of the staff aswell as patients I’m going to be so sad when she finally retired she is such and amazing nurse and I don’t think we will ever get another one like her Amazing and dedicated to her job. Very caring and brilliant with her Diabetic Patients, and a credit to the NHS Lidia has worked in the area providing excellent patient care for 20 years and we will miss her when she retires this year. "Lidia has worked for LGP over 20 years. She was one of the first Nurses to become a non medical prescriber. She was the only Nurse Mentor in HMR accepting students until the new mentoring scheme came out. She has trained many students over the years externally and internally. Patients and staff love her, she is kind, empathetic and extremely hard working. Lidia is aware that there is a lack of sexual health services in the borough and instead of retiring (which she originally was going to do) she is continuing to provide a service whilst training others to ensure they can effectively take over the service. Not only has she supported Nurses but also supports our Paramedics, STs and FY2 doctors along with a raft of other students. Lidia deserves this award for her commitment to General Practice." Due to retire but still sporting the practice and her community. The patients have nothing but praise for her care and support. She is also an inspiration to her colleagues. She works hard always willing to go the extra mile and support those he are struggling. She will always give her own time to those that are willing to learn.
