Kavanna Helliwell
Shining Star
Kavanna is an aspiring Practice Manager. Since COVID she has taken on a challenging role running the reception area, a shy person it has been great to see her come out of her shell. She has had some fantastic ideas in the Practice and is a very calming nature in the Practice. Practice Management can be very daunting but with all the challenges thrown at her she has certainly shown she had what it takes.
Kavanna should win this shining star award because thats what she is.
Rebecca Moon
Shining Star
I have worked on / off with Becki for the last 5 years we are not in the same practice but we speak to each other daily. I am the only nurse in my Practice so having Becki for support is fabulous she has a shining personality and a heart of gold.
Sarah Hill De Vries
Shining Star
For excelling in her job role as SPLW. Consistently positive and striving to better support patients. Goes above and beyond for patients and colleagues alike.
Kavanna Helliwell
Shining Star
Kavanna has stood out this year because she has been taking on more and more responsibility at the practice and is clearly growing and thriving in her job. She is gaining confidence and is always trying to learn and find better ways to do things. And all of this at the same time as being a kind and friendly person who is always checking in on others and making sure they are ok. It is such a pleasure to work with Kavanna.
Sadie Blore
Shining Star
Sadie came to us as an apprentice nearly two years ago and since then has continually impressed us with her attitude to learn and progress. She is always willing to try different challenges and will lend that helping hand. Sadie is that team member that despite whatever situation she is faced with she remains calm and just continues on with her day without complaining or allowing it to get to her. She is a credit to the surgery and we look forward to watching her grow.
Sue-Ann Anderson
Shining Star
Sue-Ann completed her Trainee Nurse Associate degree and both during and after qualification has just been absolutely soaring! She works so hard, she does all of our housebound Chronic Disease Reviews, Flu Jabs and COVID Boosters, She has had a massive impact on our Chronic Disease and NHS Health-check uptake and she is so conscientious about every single patient she sees.
She is a very popular member of our practice team having started at the practice as a Receptionist / Phlebotomist, and then moved onto become our Healthcare Assistant before her Nurse Associate Training! She is a prime example of how you can up-skill from admin into a clinical role and as a practice we couldn't be prouder of her! She is a complete Shining Star!
Lily Young
Shining Star
Nothing is too much to ask for with Lily.
She has become an integral member of the LGP team, providing administrative and secretarial support, jumping on the phones during peak times, participating in workload optimisation plans, performing CRP tests for patients, assisting with safeguarding meetings, completing medical reports and much more...
You name it, Lily can do it.
Lily always finds a way to make her colleagues days brighter. With her witty sense of humour and her comical one liners, to simply always being there to offer a helping hand, she knows how to cheer up the team and make them smile.
But that’s not all… Lily is always willing to go the extra mile for patients who really need it.
Something I will always remember: When an elderly couple attended the practice, and the husband was being sent to hospital. Despite being one foot out of the door at the end of her working day, she immediately offered to drive the patient’s wife back to her home so that she could collect their things for an overnight stay and brought her back to the practice in time for the ambulance arriving.
The couple were so appreciative. Such a simple act of kindness with such a big impact.
If Lily can help a patient, she will do everything within her capability, and do so in a dignified and compassionate way.
Lily is an authentic, courteous, genuine, selfless, and conscientious member of the LGP team; which is why I am nominating her for the Shining Star award.
Samira Ahmed
Shining Star
Samira joined The Dale Medical Practice as a receptionist and has developed her skills in secretarial duties. Over the past 6 months she has taken a lead within the reception/admin team and assisted with some management duties, all within just a couple of months of returning from maternity leave which can be a difficult transition.
She helps colleagues where she can and is continually developing her skills. She is always smiling and is a valued member of the team.
Tahira Parveen
Shining Star
Tahira is a hard worker and delight to the practice, she is a listener and takes things on board. Always happy to help everyone. keep it up Tahira.
